Sauber C33 launch

Sauber added their name to the list of teams who have unveiled their 2014 Formula One challengers today as they showed pictures of the new C33 online.

The photos, taken at the team’s headquarters in Hinwil, Switzerland, show the C33 sporting the same livery as its 2013 predecessor – though the driver lineup will be slightly altered with Adrian Sutil joining Esteban Gutierrez in place of the departed Nico Hulkenberg.

Sauber appear to have gone with a conventional interpretation of the new rules requiring lower noses and narrowed front wings for 2014, the C33 featuring a single ‘finger’ or ‘anteater’ nose arrangement. At the rear of the car the trademark tightly-packaged ‘coke-bottle’ sidepods remain in evidence, with prominent rear wing mount pylons supporting the DRS assembly.
