Force India have become the first team to unveil their 2014 car, the first built under the new rules specifications.
The VJM07, to be driven by Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez, features prominent sponsorship from the Claro Group, linked to the Mexican, but retains the traditional Indian colours of green, orange and white with a new focus on more black bodywork. Much of fans attention remains on the nose section of the car, where the rule changes are expected to be most visible.
With the sneak preview offering only a sideshot of the VJM07, it is however difficult to discern the exact shape and nature of the sculpting. Force India have admitted the image shows the car in ‘launch mode’ rather than the actual bodywork expected to be raced in Melbourne and at the upcoming test in Jerez next week.
