Nico Rosberg enjoyed the perfect Friday today by complimenting his FP1 performance with another fastest lap in FP2.
Conditions were even worse than in the first free practice session, but Rosberg demonstrated he wasn’t fazed by setting fastest time early on; he remained at the head of the timesheets until Vettel posted a faster lap with six minutes remaining. Rosberg countered with another impressive time, shaving even more time from his personal best to put it beyond doubt as the track eventually began to improve in the final moments of the day. The track remained too wet for dry tyres, with the wet and intermediates proving the instruments of choice.
The only incidents were a KERS failure for Mark Webber and another spin for Lewis Hamilton, this time at turn four.
