Mercedes lead the way – Interlagos FP1

Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton led the way for Mercedes during a damp FP1 for Sunday’s season-ending Brazilian Grand Prix.

Rain persisted throughout the ninety minute session and ensured little real setup work was achieved by any of the teams. Red Bull attempted to test some aero parts and the experimental 2014 tyre compound supplied by Pirelli, but quickly decided it was too slow for meaningful data to be acquired.

There were no major incidents during the morning, apart from a small spin for Hamilton and a gearbox problem for Giedo Van Der Garde.
