Red Bull’s hat trick – Indian FP3

Red Bull continued their impressive display at the start of day two of this weekend’s Indian Grand Prix, with Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber setting another 1-2 in Free Practice Three.

The session was delayed by twenty minutes after fog prevented the medical helicopter from flying, leaving the drivers only forty minutes of running.

Lotus and Ferrari were Red Bull’s closest rivals, but were never within striking distance, while Lewis Hamilton struggled to match Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg and was mired in combat with the Sauber and McLaren cars. Esteban Gutierrez was struggling however, and had a brief flight over the infamous ‘sausage kerbs’ with fifteen minutes of the session left – but avoided any serious damage to his car.

It was no less torrid in the pitlane for the Swiss team, as Nico Hulkenberg accidentally knocked over and injured one of his mechanics when returning to his box.
