Marquez Masterclass – Misano MotoGP Qualifying Times

Marc Marquez proved injury at Silverstone meant nothing to him as he once again demolished key rivals Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa in qualifying for tomorrow’s San Marino MotoGP. The Spaniard bested his fellow countrymen by a healthy 0.5 second margin to secure his 6th pole position of the season. Home-hero Valentino Rossi made it onto the front row in 3rd, while Britain’s Cal Crutchlow overcame a frustrating Friday by snatching 5th at the last innings – but the real surprise of the day was Aleix Espargaro who dragged his (supposedly!) inferior CRT class bike onto row two for Aspar. Crutchlow’s fellow Brits Bradley Smith and Michael Laverty qualified in 13th and 20th positions respectively.
