Red Bull Chief Helmut Marko has denied reports Daniel Ricciardo is to be confirmed as Sebastian Vettel’s 2014 team mate after rumours began to circle on Sunday morning around the Australian.
The 24 year-old has long been held by many to be the most likely candidate to replace compatriot Mark Webber at the ‘A-team’ after Webber’s retirement at the end of the 2013 season.
However, 2007 World Champion and Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen had also been in the frame to make the move to partner triple World Champion Vettel.
Red Bull have confirmed an official announcement will take place at Spa next weekend as part of the Belgian Grand Prix.
