Webber fastest in delayed practice – Canada FP3

Mark Webber was fastest during a delayed third practice session ahead of qualifying this afternoon for Sunday’s Canadian Grand Prix.

The session could not start as planned because of ongoing repair work at turn 10 following an accident in a support race that saw a Ferrari GT car damage an armco barrier.

After a hesitant start to the session thanks to a light rain shower that doused the circuit, all the competitors eventually made it out onto the circuit to set times on the super-soft Pirelli slicks in the dying minutes. Jenson Button was initially fastest having made the switch first, before a whole host of drivers came through to seize the top spot in rapid succession.

Qualifying starts at 18:00 GMT.
