Caterham’s CT03 – A points scorer?

Caterham have taken the wraps off the car they hope will finally take them into the big time; the CT03. Designed by Mark Smith as his first bite at the Formula One cherry , the car features an aggressively stepped nose, a Mclaren-style rear wing assembly and an elegant and menacing green, yellow and black paint job.

New drivers Charles Pic and Giedo Van Der Garde were on hand to pull the sheets off the car early this morning in the Jerez pitlane, before the Dutch rookie took the wheel for the first full day of F1 testing in 2013.

  1. “Designed by Mark Smith as his first bite at the Formula One cherry” He has worked in F1 for over 20 years as a designer on various Jordans, Jaguars, Red Bulls, etc…

    • Hi Jordan thanks for your comment! You’re right Mark is an F1-veteran in his level of experience, but the CT02 is the first car on which he has been Chief Designer.
